Our motto is “Service above Self”. Rotary is a worldwide service organisation of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations and fosters goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1,2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32000 clubs in over 200 countries. The Rotary club of Durban North is involved in many projects within the greater Durban metro area, addressing health, hunger, water, vocational guidance, youth and leadership needs and is proud to have been involved with the annual airshow for many years now. The Wings Club and its sponsors have always been very supportive of Rotary and the community projects it is involved in and the members of the Rotary Club of Durban North use the event as an opportunity to raise funds by volunteering to serve the public in offering secure parking, food and refreshments at very reasonable rates. All funds generated through this very worthwhile project are invested directly into our various projects. Rotarians, who can be easily identified from the logo on the shirts they wear, will be present in all the main parking areas and in the Rotary food tents on both days of the airshow and we would be delighted to discuss the organisation with anybody interested in either joining the organisation or learning more about our activities.
